Corridoors of Misbelief 4 It was late. She could tell because she'd heard her parents slump off upstairs to bed around half an hour ago and its usually not until late when they take their final leave of the family room. She guessed it must be almost 1 o clock in the morning by now. She was in the cellar of her three-story house on 57th street. This was where she called home – her sanctuary. She came here often, to escape the constant pulsating of everyday life. Her parents had at one point forbidden her to go in the cellar but they were unable to stop her.
